The reception for my show The Apocalypse: Past Present and Future went really well!
Lots of peeps came out and special thanks to you!!! I had a great time putting this together and it is an honor to have folks come out to view the work.
I also played a few songs that night too which was fun.
Good time!! I’ll have a second reception this coming Friday from 7-10pm!
The Apocalypse: Past, Present and Future will be installed in 33Contemporary gallery 9/15. The work will be on display through mid October. The Artist Reception is Friday, September 16th from 7-10pm. Come check it out!! I’ll also be performing my original acoustic blues/country blues music. It should be a fun night!!
So I am all framed and ready to go. Got everything wired up and cataloged, photographed, artist statement is done. Lots and lots of stuff to do still but I am in good shape!
I was planning to have prints made to sell at the show. I got the box in the mail today and they suck… I wish I had a decent camera. My camera is still in SD and is so dirty that it wouldn’t do much anyway.
But there it is! Done.
So, just to make it known that I still skate nearly every day… I have been mega busy lately with School, Art shows, Music stuff and more. I have been hitting Wilson on weekends only, mostly be cause I get really sick of that place and then I go TIMEBOMB on people. So 2-3 sessions there a week are my limit.
But I had a great session at 4 Seasons Skatepark in Milwaukee with old and new friends last weekend.
I took this out of focus phone cam shot pre- sessions. Fat Kev USA in the foreground.
Check out this link to my good buddy John Gonzales’ FB page. Out of respect to his art I will not download and repost his stuff. I tried to link them to the site with pics showing but i am internet dumb.
Sooo fun, but most will never experience it. Possum is “too far” for most folks to drive to. It is a whole hour south of CHI even though other things are more than an hour but noooooo. “We can’t go south of Roosevelt Rd. The world drops off after Roosevelt…” Southland Represent!!!!!!
So, I did get some work done this summer on the Possum “Contraption of Death”. Some things were minor repairs but also finishing the coping install on some of the QPs.
I also decided to replace the big nasty Jersey barrier with a bigger nastier QP. Brutus is 4′ transitions with 2′ of vert. Masonite tile and brick coping.
